Drop-off is the worst five minutes of the nursery day. Ten children arrive at once, each carrying a bag, a lunch box and shoes to change out of, and the storage either absorbs that or the floor does.

This cabinet is built for the absorbing. Ten bays, each sized to take a full backpack on the upper level with shoes stowed beneath — one child, one bay, everything in a single place. There is no hunting for a separate shoe rack across the room.

The 40 cm depth is what makes it work. Shallower cloakroom units force bags to sit half-out where they get knocked down; at 40 cm a loaded backpack goes fully in and stays in. The 120 cm width and 120 cm height give a two-tier arrangement in which even the top bay stays inside a five-year-old’s reach.
