Description

The oven is where kitchen role play gets its safety vocabulary. “It’s hot.” “Not yet — wait.” “Use both hands.” Children rehearse those phrases dozens of times in pretend before they ever meet a real one, and the rehearsal is the point.

This unit gives them the props to do it: a hinged door that opens to a cavity big enough for a play tray, and dials that turn with a definite click so setting the oven is a deliberate act rather than a mime.

The waiting is educational in its own right. A child who puts food in, sets a dial and has to leave it there is practising delayed gratification and sequencing — the same cognitive work as any turn-taking game, but self-directed.

Built in wood at 60 × 31.8 × 57 cm, sized so children stand and work at hob height. It aligns with the other Luxury kitchen modules so a setting can start with one unit and extend to a full kitchen run over successive budget years.

  • Hinged door and turning dials — real actions, not painted-on graphics
  • Builds safety vocabulary and sequencing through repeated rehearsal
  • Aligns with the other Luxury kitchen modules for phased buying
  • Wood, 60 × 31.8 × 57 cm
  • Recommended ages 3–6

For KG role-play areas, nursery home corners and childcare pretend-play zones.
